The BEST Functioning Replica of Ichigo's Zangetsu Sword (Bleach)

Having a "real" functioning replica of our favorite anime character's weapon is really awesome! Specially if accompanied by a hi-class cosplay costume design.

On this video of AWE me, the blacksmiths of Man at Arms created a full functioning replica of Ichigo's Zangetsu Sword. Yes, that humongous sword with a white lace.

Bleach Anime and Ichigo Kurosaki

Bleach is a Japanese anime series which focus on the adventures of Ichigo, who obtained the power of a Shinigami. His new powers helped him to save and defend the humans against the Hollows or the evil spirits.

His sword or Zanpakuto's Shikai form resembles an oversized khyber knife, has no tsuba and no proper hilt. It's as tall as Ichigo and it's name is Zangetsu (Slaying Moon).

The Epic Functioning Replica

The Man at Arms is a team of blacksmiths who forge swords requested by fans. Some of popular replicas under their belt includes: X-Men Wolverine Claws, The Lich King's Frostmourne (World of Warcraft), Squall's Gunblade (Final Fantasy VIII) and this episode's Ichigo's Zangetsu Sword.

Zangetsu's replica is 72 inches long and 9 inches wide. They created two parts of the sword, the blade and the handle. The steel blade was welded on the steel handle. The handle was wrapped in a Stingray Skin (Honzame), which was used on Katanas. And then with crisscrossed white leather. Watch the full video of making the Zangetsu Sword.

What can you say about this fully functioning replica of Ichigo's Zangetsu Sword? Would you shout "Bankai! Tensa Zangetsu..."?
