Two men were shocked to see what's swimming towards their boat

It was their strangest experience while fishing on the Warrior River.

Jason Frost, 28 and Brandon Key, 34, were on a fishing trip in Warrior River and were waiting for something to bite on their lines this last Saturday, when they caught on video the catch of a lifetime. A splash behind them caught their attention.

And it was a pair of kittens!

We turned around and didn't see anything, but a few minutes later, we saw something swimming above the surface getting closer and closer,
Jason said.

Then I heard it meowing, and I could tell it was a cat. I was like, 'Hey, Brandon, you need to record this.'

After Jason helped the kitten aboard, his friend Brandon saw another one jumping off the shore. It swam to the boat too, meowing as it got closer.

If I wouldn't have had this on video, everybody would have thought I was crazy,
Jason laughingly said.

Well there’s a first time for everything, isn't there?

An orange tabby perhaps a few months old made the swim from shore to the boat where Jason plucked it out of the water by the nape of its neck and put it onto the deck of the boat. It began meowing.

Never in my life have I seen anything like that,
Jason says on the video.

The two men comment on the fact that the creatures are twins before speculating that someone probably attempted to dispose of them in the river.

People were looking at us out on the water like, 'Oh my God, these people got cats with them,'
the two men said.

When they got to shore, they saw a family with two little girls who each wanted a kitten, and they gave them to the family.

Since there are no homes in the area, Frost suspected that somebody simply dumped the kittens on the shore to fend for themselves.

Thanks to the family who adopted the kitten, they now have a safe home.

Jason uploaded the video on Facebook and the video's description reads, "This puts a new spin on the term catfishing."

Just one day after he uploaded the video, it had more than 100,000 views on Facebook.

They said that they gotten messages from people all over the country thanking them for saving the kittens.
